“I know.” Jan said, looking at him after a moment and giving him a slight smile. “That’s why I married you. Because I know you’ll support me no matter what.” She said, biting her lip and looking at him. “Promise you’ll talk to me if something’s wrong though? I just…I know it was tough the last few weeks. I want to help.”Setting down the spoon, Phil cupped her face in both of his hands and kissed her forehead gently, “I promise I will tell you if something’s wrong. I promise.”
“Good. That’s all I want.” Jan said, closing her eyes and leaning into him. “God, I love you so much. I’m sorry you had to go through all that. I won’t ever let it happen again, i promise.”
“I don’t feel like one.” She frowned, leaning forward and taking a bite, smirking despite herself. “But thank you. As long as I know you have my back, I’ll be fine.” She nodded, laughing quietly. “You’re adorable, I hope you know that.”
“Well I try to be,” Phil said giving her another spoonful. Getting serious Phil said, “I’ll always have your back Jan, no matter what, you know that right?” Taking her hand into his he squeezed it gently, “you are far too important to me to let you go, okay?”
I want to help.”
“I know, I just….I wish I knew what else to say.” She sighed, leaning into him and trying to make herself relax. She just wanted to move forward, but it was hard when she still couldn’t get a real grasp on what happened. “You’re much too good to me, you know that?” She said, finally letting go of the spoon and kissing his cheek. “I used to be an Avenger, you know, you’d think I could at least manage to use a spoon.”
“You’re still an Avenger, Bumble Bee,” moving the bowl in front of him he scooped up the chicken and dumplings into the spoon he gently brought it to her mouth, “you’ve only hit a minor speed bump. You’ll be kicking ass and taking names before you know it, I promise.”
“I don’t feel like one.” She frowned, leaning forward and taking a bite, smirking despite herself. “But thank you. As long as I know you have my back, I’ll be fine.” She nodded, laughing quietly. “You’re adorable, I hope you know that.”

*Smirks* Remy. Good to see you!
“I’m so sorry. I never meant to put you through that.” Jan frowned, kissing his cheek and closing her eyes. She knew it wasn’t her fault, but she couldn’t help the need to apologize. Make it better some how. She felt like she’d missed a whole chunk of everyones life, and there was no way to try and get it back. “I’m not…” She sighed, frowning at the food again and curling her fingers up. “You’re sure you don’t mind?”
“Don’t apologize for anything Jan, this was not your fault,” Phil said softly, holding her close to him for a minute. Knowing she felt guilty about something she had no control over. Making him feel guilty that he couldn’t make her feel better. “I don’t mind at all Jan, not in the slightest.”

That would be lovely, Remy, I look forward to seeing you. You’ll have to excuse the way I’m dressed, they won’t let me have my own clothes.
I’m sure y’pull it off.
*Laughs* Thank you. That’s encouraging.
“I know, I just….I don’t remember any of it, Phil, and I feel like it had to be worse for you than it was for me, the only thing I remember is waking up…” She frowned, listening to him for a moment before nodding. “I know you will be. I don’t think I could love anyone more.” She said, leaning into his kiss and sighing after a moment. “I…Phil, it’s just food, I should be able to do this on my own, shouldn’t I?”Taking her hand in his he squeezed it gently and said, “I won’t lie to you Jan, it was rough.” Tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear he said, “I thought only a few weeks into marrying you I was going to loose you. I mean I technically did loose you. Seeing you here on all those machines…” Phil cut himself off, feeling tears prick the corner of his eyes, “it was hard but I had to have hope you’d come out of it, beat the odds.” Kissing her gently, Phil said, “and you did. And I couldn’t be happier.” Looking at the food, Phil said, “I know it’s just food love, but you are going to have some issues until they start your therapy for that. You can do it if you want to try but know I don’t mind feeding you okay?”
